THE nomadic Weymouth Wildcats will be back on track at Plymouth Speedway next Friday when they clash with the Exeter Falcons.

Former Wessex Raceway announ-cer Tim Allan will be the acting manager for the Cats at the challenge meeting where he will be in charge of the likes of Tim Webster, Dean Felton, James White-Williams, Brendon Johnson, David Mason, Luke Chessell and Jamie Dixon.

Allan said: “Again we have been lucky enough to have been invited by Mike Bowden to pit the Falcons and Wildcats against each other. This time we have a full seven-man team, 15-heat meeting to look forward to and it should be a cracking night.”

Weymouth-based youngster Dixon is riding in the Midland Development League for MK Knights and has also been added to the Long Eaton Invaders’ squad, while Webster and Felton will turn out for Buxton in this year’s National League.

White-Williams has joined Dudley Heathens and Chessell has moved to Rye House Raiders along with Mason. Johnson faces a long trip to Norfolk riding for King’s Lynn Young Stars.

Allan added: “It is great to be able to make the entire team up of former Wildcats. I included Jamie as he was mascot a few years back and lives locally.

“Again it will be good to see a Weymouth-based rider turn out for the Wildcats and I have just told him to enjoy the meeting.

“It is all about experience for him on his journey to try and make the grade.”

The Falcons team has been put together by another ex-Wildcat, Matt Bates, and includes fellow ex-Weymouth riders Tom Brown and Luke Priest.
