JAMES Cockle believes the Wild-cats will give the Bournemouth Buccaneers a much stiffer test second time around at Wim-borne Road. The Dorset rivals meet for the third time this season on Thursday night for the second leg of their Knockout Cup tie. Weymouth go into the clash with a 16-point advantage from the first leg but a repeat of the 56-36 defeat at Bournemouth on May 28 would see the Bucca-neers progress to the next round of the competition. Cockle is confident that the Cats can not only dump their rivals out of the cup but also win Thursday’s meeting outright. He said: “We’ll be going there to win the meeting, not just to try and get within 16 points of them. The last meeting at Wimborne Road wasn’t great for us but I’m sure we can go there this time and pull it off. “If we’re all performing, unlike last time when we just didn’t click and suffered a few problems, then we’ll do well as we know what to expect this time.” The Wildcats have recently been forced into re-jigging their line-up based on each individual rider’s average so far. The reshuffle has seen Cockle move to number four and Tim Webster climb out of the reserves to fill the number three void. Cockle added: “The change hasn’t helped me particularly but that’s the way it goes. There’s a bit of pressure on Tim Webster to do a job at number three but I’m positive that he’s more than capable of doing it away from home. “And with Terry Day in the reserves now I’m sure he’ll be able to bang in some points for us.”
