HOSPITAL staff took to the field for a charity match at the Jewson Stadium, Dorchester.
The Clinicians versus Porters game raised money for the stroke unit at Dorset County Hospital.
Organiser Shaun Porter, a cardiac rehabilitation specialist nurse who managed the Clinicians team, saw victory go to the Porters.
He said: "They won 7-3 but we felt we did well - at one point we had four players over 50 on the field.
"At least we had no injuries, just a few cases of cramp and some grazes."
He added: "It was a really good evening and the weather was good this year - a bit hot but better than last year when we had pouring rain coming at us horizontally and it was freezing."
Proceeds came from entry money and was boosted with raffles and refreshments.
The popular event has become a regular fixture in the hospital's sporting calendar and plans are already in hand to hold another game next year.
