NEW Beaminster captain Ross Baker expects his players to put on a better display at Bournemouth tomorrow in Dorset Funeral Plan Division One (2pm).
Baker, who replaces Richard Bugler as skipper, has seen his side lose their opening two matches but believes they can make amends with a win against the division's bottom side.
He said: "It's a good opportunity for us to get our first win and some confidence," he said.
"We've played against two really good teams with excellent bowling attacks, but judging by Bournemouth's league position we may have it slightly easier."
Both sides have already been comprehensively beaten by league leaders Stalbridge, with Bournemouth losing by nine wickets after managing a paltry 103 with the bat last weekend.
Stalbridge chased down the target inside 12 overs but with Beaminster languishing just one place above tomorrow's opponents, Bournemouth too will be optimistic of returning a positive result.

Beaminster have made two enforced changes because of Bugler and Chris Park's unavailability, but Fred Ethering-ton and debutant Colin Gough have chances to impress.
Gough, a middle order batsman, joins a top half under pressure to score runs after two disappointing showings with the willow. And Baker is aware that his batsmen must assume more responsibility and not resort to injudicious slogs.
He added: "The batting is a concern and we've got some young players who have maybe played some rash shots, but they'll learn and are looking to make amends."
