WEYMOUTH’s scheduled Southern Premier League fixture at Bideford tomorrow night has been postponed due to floodlight failure.

The Terras were due to take on the Robins in their fourth league contest of the season, but a statement on the Bideford Website reads: “Total floodlight failure has meant tomorrow evening’s scheduled league game at home to Weymouth FC has been postponed.

“The recent detection of total power loss to all the four floodlight towers is currently being investigated by the club and their electrical contractors, and it is hoped this issue can be rectified swiftly.

“However, as the lighting is not currently operational the club had no choice but to postpone the fixture now and give Weymouth FC as much notice as possible.

“Secretaries of both Weymouth FC and Bideford will discuss and agree an alternative date to reschedule this fixture in the days to come.”

Bideford club secretary Kevin Tyrrell confirmed the postponement of the game to Echosport.
