JASON Matthews last night hailed the Terras’ never-say-die attitude as they came from behind to beat Bideford.

Weymouth kept their quest for promotion on track with goals from Calvin Brooks and Stewart Yetton to secure a 2-1 win.

And speaking afterwards, Terras’ player-manager Matthews praised his men for not giving up the fight.

“I felt we kept the ball very well in the first half, but credit goes to Bideford for the way they set up,” he said.

“We found it hard to break them down and they hit us on the break with a great strike.

“We changed our system in the second half and Brooksy got the equaliser, then Yetts did what he does best by scoring the winner.”

He added: “We came on strong late in the game and credit to our lads for that.

“They showed how good their fitness is, and we’ve won a lot of games like that in the last few minutes.

“I’d have probably taken a draw before we equalised because I didn’t think we’d break them down.

“We didn’t penetrate them enough or work their keeper, but when we did we got our just rewards.”
