WEYMOUTH Reserves’ manager Jake Richmond hailed the attitude and performance of young full-back Jamie West, who is likely to come into the Terras’ first-team squad at Hungerford Town tonight.
The former AFC Bournemouth youngster, son of former Dorchester Town and Liverpool striker David West, is likely to act as cover for regular right-back Ashley Wells, who serves the first of a three-match ban this evening.
Commenting on West’s performance against Dorset Premier League leaders Merley Cobham Sports on Saturday, Richmond told Echosport: “He did well, we play a slightly different formation and set up to the first team and he is a good honest lad.
“He had a good solid game and you wouldn’t expect anything less from him to be honest.
“He is a pleasure to manage, has a fantastic attitude and he wants to win. I have a lot of time for Jamie and a lot of time for (Conor) Jevon as well, they are both really good lads.”
