JASON Matthews has urged his charges to be up for the battle when they travel to Paulton Rovers tomorrow (3pm).

Rovers ran out 4-2 winners when the two sides met at the Bob Lucas Stadium in January, as Weymouth’s unbeaten home record in the league was ended.

Terras player-manager Matthews has admitted his side’s performance was “disappointing” on the night, but after a dogged display at Arlesey Town last time out he is confident going into this weekend's encounter.

“They beat us in a battle at our place," he told Echosport. "I feel we need to match them this time and our quality will then show through.

“It was a very disappointing result in January which coincided with the start of our bad run. They deserved to win on the night but we have the chance to put it right on Saturday.

“We have improved the squad since then with a few welcome additions, and it’s about knuckling down now to make sure we cement our place in the play-offs.

“I don’t think there is too much I don’t know about Paulton to be fair. They will give us a good game."

Matthews has ruled himself out of the encounter through injury, Calvin Brooks is suspended and Chris McPhee (back) is a doubt.
