TIM Sills has revealed his frustration in having to serve a three-game ban at such a crucial period in the Terras’ campaign.

The experienced marksman was unavailable for selection at Truro City on Monday as Weymouth fell to a 2-0 loss.

And with their play-off hopes now hanging in the balance, the former Torquay and Aldershot man admitted his annoyance at having to sit out.

“It’s really frustrating,” he added.

“It is never nice to miss games for any reason, especially when it’s one at such a crucial stage of the season when we are in desperate need of points.

“We need to make sure we are fully focused for the last four league games and see if we can scrape our way into the play-offs, which is kind of what we are doing at the moment.

“Then it becomes a lottery and hopefully we can recapture some early season form.

“We have got to be confident and we have got ourselves in the position where we could have such a terrible run and still be in the play-offs. We have got to look at that and still take it as a massive plus.

“All the teams we have left have got something to play for which can work for you or against you but we have to focus on ourselves.”

The 35-year-old also believes that as well trying to find the right formula to remain in the top-five, experienced heads in the dressing room could be a pivotal factor.

He added: “This is hopefully where people like myself, Chris McPhee and Yetts come into our own and we have been trying to talk people through it for a little while now.

“We have just got to keep encouraging massively and building players up who are low on confidence.

“I think for the last two or three years, wherever I have been, I have tried to play a more senior role. It’s great that Jason Matthews has embraced that for me this year.

“He has let me speak and have an input on things and it’s nice to call on 18 or 19 years of knowledge to help some players through.”
