ASSISTANT manager Tim Sills believes the strength in depth of the Weymouth squad shone through as they left it late to snatch victory against Bideford last night.

Skipper Stewart Yetton popped up with the winner a minute from time at the Bob Lucas Stadium, after some magic from substitute Mark Molesley put the decisive chance on a plate for the forward to seal three points.

“He (Yetton) had certainly been lining up a few before then!” Sills told Echosport.

“It was becoming increasingly frustrating but you need an injection from the bench every now and then and we got that when Mark (Molesley) produced that fantastic bit of skill to set Yetts up with a chance he couldn’t miss.

“That’s what Yetts does though, he is always in those areas willing to take responsibility and that is why he scores so many goals.

“You just have to look at the bench with the three we brought on, with myself included, and then you are leaving Chris McPhee and Billy Lowes, who has had a great season so far, as subs not used.

“That is a great situation to be in because it means you don’t have to panic. We know we can keep going and inject some more quality and our chance will come.”

Reflecting further on the victory, Sills believed the way the Terras’ stuck at it against a stubborn Robins’ rearguard was impressive.

He added: “Teams come and they sit. They call it parking the bus but I think we were at the bus station, it was that ridiculous!

“But that’s fair enough and you have to respect it and we needed to get past it."
