WEYMOUTH boss Jason Matthews is looking forward to seeing how is side shape up against league leaders Chippenham Town.

The teams are set to lock horns at the Bob Lucas Stadium this evening (7.45pm) having only conceded nine goals between them in the league so far.

And the Terras’ chief, who watched the Bluebirds in action at Frome last Tuesday, can see why this evening’s opposition have surged to the top of the pile.

“They are a well-organised outfit and they have scored some goals,” he told Echosport.

“They are top for a reason so it will be nice to pit our wits against the top side.

“They will be playing with confidence and had another good result on Saturday in beating Merthyr and it is up to us to match them.

"We will treat them with respect and, hopefully, we will go out there and play our own game.

“I have a good idea of what they are like and know a few of their players. They are well organised and will be hard to beat.

“At the end of the day, we are five points off them and, if we win, we will more than likely be in those play-off spots.”

Matthews, whose squad is set to be unchanged, also remained tight-lipped on whether he would bring club captain Stewart Yetton back into his starting XI.

“I haven’t finalised the team in my head yet,” he added.
