JASON Matthews is eager to extend his side’s unbeaten league run, as Weymouth lock horns with Biggleswade Town at the Bob Lucas Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

The Waders defeated the Terras 4-2 on the final day of the 2014/15 league campaign – a game Weymouth needed to win to have any chance of reaching the top five.

Matthews insisted there would be “a little bit of tweaking over the summer” when speaking after that contest and two of this season's new recruits could face contrasting fortunes this weekend.

Midfielder Mark Molesley is looking to shake off a calf problem, while the Terras’ chief hinted defender Pat Baldwin would keep his place after getting through 90 minutes against Wimborne Town in the Red Insure Cup on Tuesday.

Speaking ahead of his side’s clash with the Waders, Matthews, whose troops are undefeated in their last seven league games, told Echosport: “Biggleswade are a good side, they have picked up some players from St Neots, so it will be a really tough game.

“We should have been two or three up and ended up losing 4-2 (last time) so we need to rectify that.

“That was when we couldn’t buy a win though, this year we have started pretty well and I want to keep the unbeaten run going.”

George Rigg is also an injury doubt for the Terras after he picked up an ankle injury at Cuthbury in midweek. Adam Kelly remains touch-and-go with his ongoing hamstring problem.

The Weymouth player-manager added: “Pat came through unscathed on Tuesday. I wanted to give him a game before we restarted him and there is a good chance that Pat might start.

“Mark got a kick in the calf and we will have to monitor it. George rolled his ankle so we have a couple of injury doubts, but that’s the beauty of having a squad.

“I am confident in my lads and it’s about how they apply themselves.”

The Waders go into the encounter having won their last two games in all competitions.

*The Terras have been drawn at home to league rivals Poole Town in the second round of the Red Insure Cup.

The tie is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, November 10.
