BOSS Jason Matthews believes the Terras will take on a Slough Town outfit that “are on a crest of a wave” at present, when the sides lock horns at the Bob Lucas Stadium tonight (7.45pm).

The Terras will battle a Rebels squad that have won five on the bounce in all competitions and six of their last seven to sit second in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier

Division at present.

But Matthews is relishing the test the visitors will pose for his side this evening and is backing his players to build on their own four-game unbeaten run.

He told Echosport: “Slough are on a crest of a wave on and off the pitch. They have had a great start on the pitch and off it, they have got a new stadium to boot.

“I get on well with their management and we are looking forward to it. Hopefully we can be on the end of the right result.

“We are meeting them when they are in good form and they play attacking football, which will make for a good game. We won’t sit back and we will have a go as well.

“The atmosphere is good in the camp and I want to keep our togetherness, it seems like the big games keep coming thick and fast.”

The Terras won 6-1 when the sides met at Bob Lucas Stadium last December. Dean Evans, Ben Thomson (2), Chris Shephard, Mark Cooper and George Rigg were all on target.
