HAT-TRICK hero Stewart Yetton insisted “all our eyes will be on the draw” after he helped the Terras book their place in the fourth qualifying round of this season’s FA Cup.

The Weymouth sharp shooter, who has never played in the first round proper of the competition, is now just one step away from doing so and will be eagerly looking on as the club learn their next opponents when the draw is made at lunchtime on Monday.

Yetton was in razor sharp form and scored his first treble for the Terras as they professionally dispatched of Brimscombe & Thrupp in the cup at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking to Echosport after the contest, he said: “It’s my first hat-trick for Weymouth, so it’s nice.

“It’s nice to put a few chances away and it’s always nice to get a few goals to get your confidence up.

“It’s good to get the win and be in the draw for Monday. That was the main thing, we just wanted to win and hopefully we can get a good draw in the next round.”

Giving his thoughts on the weekend’s emphatic victory, added: “I thought the boys did a professional job. I thought it was difficult at times because, without being disrespectful, it was almost a little bit too easy for us.

“You then just stroke it around and it almost slows the game down because they are giving you so much time but, at 6-0, you can’t really argue with that.

“All our eyes will be on the draw on Monday and hopefully we get a tie that’s winnable, or at least a home tie.”
