JORDAN Copp fancies the Terras to shock Whitehawk in their FA Trophy first round replay at the Bob Lucas Stadium tonight (7.45pm) but he is a huge doubt of missing out on the tie once again.

The former Plymouth youngster failed a fitness test on his ankle at the Enclosed Ground on Saturday after picking up the injury against King’s Lynn Town last week.

Copp believes his return is more likely to come against St Ives Town on Saturday.

Asked for an update on his ankle, he said: “It’s still all bruised and swollen, so I will probably have to sit out the replay as well. I will be very surprised if I’m fit.

“To sit out because of an innocuous injury like that is really frustrating because there is nothing I can do. I just have to sit and wait and hopefully I don’t have to wait too long for a chance to get back in.”

Having not been able to feature, Copp was left to sit and watch the Terras battle to a 2-2 draw, which set up tonight’s encounter.

He said: “I thought the boys acquitted themselves really well, to be honest. Whitehawk probably had the better of the first half but only just edged it.

“We had them penned in for most of the second half. I wouldn’t say that’s a biased view, I watched the game in the stands around a few of their fans and they were going ballistic at their own players.”

He added: “I think we have a really good chance (in the replay).

“We know what they are like now and we have to believe that they aren’t better than us, it’s basically there for the taking as long as we want it.”

*The winners of tonight’s tie will host either Dulwich Hamlet or Royston Town in the second round.

**Whitehawk also have a change of management tonight as, following their first game with the Terras, Ben Strevens left the club to join Eastleigh.

Defender Paul Reid is now expected to work with Alan Payne as a joint-manager.
