ANOTHER disappointing home performance left Terras’ boss Jason Matthews extremely frustrated once again, as his side were held to a 1-1 draw with St Ives Town.

The Bob Lucas Stadium has not been a happy hunting ground for Weymouth so far this season, with just 14 points coming from 10 home fixtures in the league.

The Terras, who were booed off again on Saturday, have also conceded more goals at home than they have scored at present.

Commenting on Saturday’s game, in which Weymouth conceded just seconds after gaining the advantage through Stuart Fleetwood’s header, Matthews told Echosport: “I didn’t feel that we took the game to St Ives early doors and we paid the penalty again.

“We got the breakthrough and then committed suicide again in not clearing our lines. Before we even had time to settle after scoring our goal, it was then 1-1.

“It was a frustrating day at the office but I find myself saying that in every home game at the moment.”

He added: “We have to go back to the drawing board.

“From my point of view I feel a lot of the players were six out of 10s, now is the time I need them to be sevens and eights.

“If they aren’t at that level they need to be looking over their shoulders a little bit.”
