BOSS Jason Matthews insists that Billy Lowes still “has a big future” with the Terras, despite being sent on loan to Wimborne Town, subject to the necessary paperwork being completed.

Former Poole Town man Lowes was voted the club’s online player of the month for August and October this term, but has found it difficult to secure a starting spot in recent weeks.

Matthews has decided to give the midfielder some game time at Cuthbury for a short spell in the Southern League South & West Division, and insists that Lowes “understands the situation” of being sent out.

“Billy has been brilliant for me this season,” the Terras’ boss told Echosport.

“Obviously I have gone with a little bit of experience with the current predicament we are in.

“Billy understands the situation and I just don’t want him to be sat around at 19 years old, not playing. I think it’s a move that suits both parties.”

He added: “It’s nothing permanent, it’s just to get him game time for the next month.

“He has a big future at the club and Billy knows that. I want him to be playing.”
