MARK Molesley says he wants to continue working for the Cherries “in any capacity I can” and is refusing to rule out the possibility of doubling up as the club’s under-21 boss and manager of Weymouth.

Molesley has been an unmitigated success since taking charge of AFC Bournemouth’s under-21s on an interim basis and yesterday led them to a 2-0 victory over Newport County, their fifth Central League win on the bounce.

Both goals arrived in the first half, 16-year-old defender Brennan Camp, from Portland, heading home Kyle Taylor’s corner on 36 minutes, with Jordan Green doubling the home team’s advantage shortly before the break.

Molesley, who is also in joint-caretaker charge of the Terras, told the Daily Echo: “It is a good experience, it is making me a better coach and I am enjoying both roles.

“I will have to see how things work out.

“I love being at Bournemouth. I am learning so much and I want to be at this club in any capacity I can.

“If that situation arose, where I was asked to do both jobs permanently, I would look at it. But until such a time, I will try my best in both roles.”

Molesley and Paul Maitland have replaced Jason Matthews for the final three league games of Weymouth’s campaign.

After guiding the Terras to a 2-0 Good Friday triumph over Chesham United, the duo returned to earth with a bump on Easter Monday when Weymouth lost 3-0 at struggling Cirencester.

Molesley and Maitland are expected to continue in caretaker charge when Weymouth host Leamington at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
