TWO more players have headed out the exit door of the Bob Lucas Stadium as Jake Wannell and Chris Shephard will not be returning to the club next term.
The duo, who were both signed under former boss Jason Matthews, are set to head elsewhere with playmaker Shephard understood to be linking up with Salisbury FC.
Speaking about the exits of both Shephard and Wannell, assistant-manager Paul Maitland told Echosport: “Both players have decided to leave the club because, unfortunately, they couldn’t commit the time that was involved to be at Weymouth.
“We wish them all the best for the future.”
Shephard and Wannell have become the third and fourth players not to be retained by the Terras this week.
Midfielder Billy Lowes announced his departure on Monday, while Mark Cooper, who has joined Chippenham Town, revealed he would not be staying with the Terras on Thursday.
Former Weymouth midfielder Dean Evans, who was the first man to exit the club this summer, has also announced via social media that he will be making the move to Chippenham for next season.
