AARON Rodriguez has returned to Weymouth early from his loan at Dorchester Town.
Rodriguez initially left for the Magpies on October 5 before the Terras announced three weeks later that it would continue for the foreseeable future.
Weymouth assistant-manager Paul Maitland explained: “His loan deal only had another couple of games left to run.
“It just seemed sensible for us to bring Aaron back a little bit sooner than we originally planned to move his progression along with us by having him back in the squad sooner.
Maitland added: “He went to Dorchester at a time when he wasn’t in the side or in the squad and he needed game time and he has had that."
Maitland said: "We are thankful to Steve Thompson and Dorchester for being able to do that for Aaron but we just felt that now was the right time.”
Maitland said that Rodriguez will, subject to the FA sanctioning the recall, be in the squad for tomorrow’s game away at Banbury United.
