A BID to purchase the land surrounding the Wessex Stadium and Weymouth FC has been rejected.
Echosport was informed last night of an offer from an Essex-based consortium, headed by former Terras’ chief executive Gary Calder’s son, Gary Calder Jnr, to ex-chairman Malcolm Curtis for both the land and the football club.
However, it has been revealed this morning that the consortium's offer has been declined by Curtis.
