A SOUTH-coast consortium will meet with Weymouth FC directors on Monday after making an 11th hour bid to stop the Wessex Stadium-based club going into liquidation.
The unidentified party has made “a potential serious approach” according to director Paul Cocks, who also admitted the board was close to ending 119 years of history at the Terras by liquidating them this week.
Administrators Benedict Mackenzie LLP, who are still only working with Weymouth on an advisory basis, will also be at the meeting – on the same day it begins a review of the football club’s finances.
