CHRIS Ryan is out of the running to take-over the ownership of Weymouth Football Club.
The proposed buyer, who has been working closely with Steve Beasant, believes that former Cambridge United chairman George Rolls will now assume control of the club.
A statement from Ryan said: "Yesterday the board of directors of Weymouth Football Club rejected our offer in favour of George Rolls.
"The directors placed certain conditions on our offer and Steve and I were unable to reach agreement with them.
"Consequently our offer was rejected in favour of George's and we can see no point in continuing negotiations."
