Four depart

WEYMOUTH have announced the departure of four key players following the Terras' 3-1 defeat to Newport County this afternoon.

A statement on the club's website said: "Due to the current financial situation, Scott Brice, Matthew Groves, Josh Llewellyn and Jake Reid have all left the club.

"The chairman wanted them to stay at the club and offered them reduced terms, but they decided to further their career elsewhere.

"The club would like to thank for them for their loyal support through these difficult times and wish them well for future."

It was a great game today, and I thought Newport were not as good as their record suggests.

One of the Welsh Police Officers that accompanied the Newport fans told me before the match that several of our players were leaving. As a fan and shareholder it is disappointing to find we are not kept informed by the club.

By the was the refereeing was of the usual poor standard!
