WEYMOUTH boss John Hollins described on loan keeper Stephen Henderson as "unbelievable" after he pulled off several fine stops to ensure the Terras gained a share of the spoils against fellow strugglers Farsley Celtic at the Wessex Stadium last night.
Hollins' men dominated the first half and also had chances in the second but Henderson had to be at his best to deny Damien Reeves, James Knowles and Dominic Krief, who all had great opportunities to win it for the visitors.
The result means Weymouth remain in the bottom four in the Blue Square Premier, one point adrift of Farsley who have now hopped above Altrincham on goal difference.
Alty lost 3-2 last night against Crawley Town.
Hollins said: "The game was a bit frustrating at times but we can take a lot of positives out of it. In the first half we dominated apart from one great save from Stephen Henderson.
"We put three or four fantastic balls into the box which we were close to getting on the end of and overall I was pleased with how we played.
"In the second half the wind changed which made things a lot more difficult and I thought Stephen was unbelievable.
"He made a couple of excellent saves with the last one being the best of them. Dominic Krief had actually dribbled past two defenders but Stephen somehow stopped him by knocking the ball away with his feet when he looked certain to score.
"From having dominated the game we went on to become our own worst enemies but we have now taken four points from our last two games in which we have kept two clean sheets and that is definitely something we can build on.
"The lads are very disappointed that we did not get all three points and very tired but that is football and we now have to pick ourselves up and look to go to Burton Albion on Sunday and win."
The Celts had Andy Watson harshly red-carded for intentionally blocking off Stuart Beavon on 64 minutes and that was not the only bizarre decision in a game where referee David Phillips did not have the best of days.
Damien Reeves also caught Weymouth full back Trevor Challis in the face as tempers flared on a couple of occasions in the second half.
Hollins added: "When they went down to ten men everybody in our side started thinking they could score and some of them did not come back and that enabled Farsley to hit us on the break a couple of times.
"They proved they are no pushovers but I cannot help thinking that we should have won it in the first half.
"As for Trevor, he got hit on the side of the head. Whether it was just accidental, late or whatever it left him with mild concussion, which meant he had to come off.
"The reason he got up and had a go at their lad was because he called him a cheat' and that is why the referee booked him for retaliation.
"To be honest there were a few strange decisions throughout the game but we were not out there to beat the referee, we were there to beat Farsley and we have come out of it with a point."
On loan defender Magnus Okuonghae also picked up a knock.
Hollins said: "I think Magnus has hurt his shoulder. To be honest I am not sure what he has done but it does not look good."
