STRIKER Jake Hyde is confident that his month's loan at Weymouth will be extended until the end of the season.
The Swindon Town youngster has started the Terras' last three games and although he is yet to find the net in claret and blue he has made a positive impression.
Hyde said: "I am enjoying playing up front with Stuart Beavon. He works extremely hard and is a fantastic player to partner.
"Being down here is very different to what I am used to but I am really enjoying it. I am getting a bit of experience and that is what my manager at Swindon told me to do.
"He said he is looking at me with regards to the future and all I want to do is try and play the best I can and to help Weymouth move up the table.
"My current deal is only for a month but it is going to be reviewed in the next couple of weeks and I am pretty sure I will remain here until the end of the season."
Despite picking up four points from their last two matches the Terras remain in the Blue Square Premier bottom four.
On Tuesday they drew 0-0 with fellow strugglers Farsley Celtic, a contest in which Hyde felt he should have found the net.
He added: "We were all a bit disappointed with the result because we had enough chances to win it even though nothing clear cut really fell our way.
"Saying that, we did put over a couple of decent crosses and I do feel that I should have scored a couple."
Hyde is surprised that the club is in the situation it is but also believes the confidence gained from the last two performances proves things are moving in the right direction.
He said: "There are some fantastic players here and I think it has just been a case of trying to find the right balance and formation, and in the last two games I think we have looked a lot more solid.
"We now have a trip to Burton Albion coming up this Sunday which will no doubt be a tough game but we are more than capable of going there and winning.
"The victory we had over Stevenage Borough last Saturday has given everyone a lot of confidence and it proved that if we play to our potential we can be a match for anyone. We now have to go to Burton and do exactly that."
