WEYMOUTH will face a big decision at the end of the season if they manage to retain their Dorset Women's League title.
A second successive championship would see the Terras be given the chance to accept promotion to the South-West Women's League where their talented squad would be able to test itself against better opposition.
Two-thirds of the current playing staff have already expressed a desire to make the move but they will have to be supplemented by some new signings.
Underpinning the first-team is a number of Weymouth FC girls' sides including the highly successful under-15s, which possesses some of the best players in the county, and the new Summer Girls' League which has been set by the club's football in the community department.
The future is indeed looking bright but there is one stumbling block in making the move to the South West Women's League and that is funding.
Promotion would see the Terras travel to places such as Newquay, Plymouth, Barnstaple and Taunton, all of which would have to be financed.
Coach Tim Davis, who believes between £3,000 to £4,000 would be required to make the switch financially viable, said: "If we are ever going to progress women's football in Weymouth up to a higher standard where it deserves to be then next season is the time to do it.
"We have a great squad of players who have earned the right to play at a higher level.
"If the girls decide they want to accept promotion if we are fortunate enough to achieve it then I will try all I can to ensure it happens but we desperately need the local business community to play its part to assist us with the financing.
"To this extent I am delighted to announce that successful local businessman and owner of Café Oasis Paul Cocks has agreed to work in partnership with me to talk to prospective new sponsors.
"Paul sponsored the girls this season and along with me recognises that the recent rise in popularity of girls and women's football in Weymouth has been nothing short of phenomenal.
"If you would like to play your part in assisting the girls in making their dreams turn into reality then I would urge you to get in touch as soon as possible.
"There are a variety of packages available to suit all budgets and we are looking for a main team sponsor as well as the usual tracksuit and rain jacket sponsors.
"There will also be match-day sponsorships available.
"I can be contacted at the club on 01305 785558 or on my mobile on 07974885259 for more information."
