CAUGHT: Stuart Beavon is tackled at a soggy Broadfield Stadium
WEYMOUTH manager John Hollins is urging his players to believe they can avoid the Blue Square Premier drop after picking up a vital point at Crawley Town.
Skipper Simon Weatherstone scored with a sensational strike to put the Terras in front but Kieran Murphy hit back for the hosts to leave Weymouth a point from safety.
Hollins said: "We could have scored in the first minute but as it was Simon scored with an unbelievable volley from 30 yards, it was magnificent, worthy of winning goal of the season.
"We played well from there but Crawley got a lucky goal. Their man didn't hit it right and Stephen Henderson was deceived a bit. Overall it was a hard-fought point and well deserved.
"We've got two draws from our last two games so we are set up for a win now and I can't see any reason
why that can't happen against Droylsden on Tuesday.
"We've got confidence and the shape we have is working.

"The lads are playing at 110
per cent and we're grinding out results."
Altrincham were the only one of Weymouth's relegation rivals to pick up three points. Halifax Town earned a draw at Grays Athletic while Farsley Celtic and Northwich Victoria suffered defeats at Oxford at Exeter respectively.
But with four games in which to save themselves, Hollins is confident the Terras can climb out the drop-zone.
He added: "We can only do what we can, if we do then there won't be a problem for us. The players have got to believe it because I do.
"We could have lost at Crawley to be fair. Henderson made two very good saves and there was a goal-mouth scramble at one point too.
"A point will do for us and I would have settled for that before the game."
Although delighted with the contribution of his captain, Hollins was pleased with the overall effort of his team.
He said: "Simon has scored three vital goals for us, two of which were from penalties and they are never easy, but he showed the confidence to take them.
"Simon's been solid for us but so has Anton Robinson, Chris Blackburn, Matt Bailey, Kyle Critchell, in fact everyone has been solid. It's a team event and if everyone pulls together we will get points."
Trevor Challis was forced off with a calf injury and will be assessed ahead of tomorrow night's game at the Wessex Stadium.
