ASKERSWELL pentathlon star Harrison Yarnold won individual bronze at the British Championships in Solihull.
As well as this success, Yarnold’s efforts also secured him a team gold for Dorset Pentathletes alongside Bradley Sutton and Jamie Price.
Taking part in five sporting disciplines – fencing, swimming, horse riding, running and shooting – Yarnold took individual medals for the best ride and combined performance (shooting and running) in the national event.
With his horse Fly, the youngster produced the best round of the day and incurred no time faults, achieving maximum points for that particular discipline.
The multi-event competitor worked hard to hone his riding skills for the competition and would like to thank Martin and Vanessa Cox, who allow him to train in the gym and swimming pool at the Highlands End Holiday Park in Bridport.
The British Championships followed on from the national triathlon where Yarnold also took home individual and team gold medals.
