WEYMOUTH’S Amber Davies is set for a busy December period, starting at the National Under-18s’ Championships this weekend at the National Volleyball Centre, in Kettering.
Davies, a member of the LeAF Elite Athlete Academy, will be looking to cap a victory at the semi-final stage with a second appearance at the national squad training camp beckoning later this month.
A former pupil at Radipole Primary and All Saints School, Davies combines her A-level academic studies with her training.
In August, she was selected for the England Women Cadet Squad.
With her immediate attention turned towards finishing in the top two this weekend, the England National Finals Weekend in March 2015 will be another date she will be hoping to put on the calendar.
The team earned a place in the last eight following hard-fought wins against the Academy of Beach Sports, Team Southamp-ton and Tendering Technical College at the LeAF Academy in Bournemouth.
