BRIDORT Barracudas' trip Henry Wyrill, Nathan Moorey and Harry Stewart have all qualified for the Regional Championships in May.

The three earned their place after competing in the annual Dorset County Championships which took place over two weekends at Littledown, Bournemouth.

The competition is open to swimmers who have fast enough times to qualify and compete against the rest of the county.

The Barracudas had 15 members who were invited to compete at the championships.

They proved very worthy competitors with Moorey easily taking first place in the 50m fly.

He also finished second in the 100m fly, third in the 200m fly and sixth in the 100m and 50m freestyle.

Moorey also earned nine personal best times and took seventh overall in the county in his age group.

Wyrill claimed second in the 200m breaststroke, second in the 50m backstroke, third in the 100m breaststroke, fourth in the 50m breaststroke, 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle, 100m and 200m backstroke, fifth in the 200m individual medley sixth in the 50m freestyle and 50m fly.

He also collected 11 personal best times and was fifth overall in the county in his age group.

Stewart finished fourth in the 50m breaststroke, eighth in the 400m freestyle and 10th in the 100m freestyle.

He bagged six personal best times and came 11th overall in the county.

Kirron Wheeler was third in the 200m freestyle and fourth in the 50m backstroke.

He earned two personal best times and was fourth overall in the county in his age group.

Isabelle King took third in the 50m freestyle, collected one personal best time and was fourth overall in the county.

Georgina Mackey took sixth in the 200m breaststroke, seventh in the 50m breaststroke and eighth in the 100m breaststroke and claimed three personal best times.

The following swimmers all achieved personal bests in their races: Jack William Turner for 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle, and 50m fly, Cole Dickinson for 200m freestyle, Will St Barbe-Baker for 50m freestyle and 200m individual medley, Holly Dickinson for 50m and 200m freestyle, Alexandra Moorey for 200m freestyle, Jess St Barbe-Baker for 50m freestyle, Sebastian Harvey-Tkachuk for 50m freestyle, Chloe Burns for 200m freestyle and Charlotte Hussey for 50m freestyle.
