A STRONG team of West Dorset swimmers finished in third place overall at the ASA Dorset Development Meet.

This competition is for swimmers invited to attend, with the necessary qualifying times required for each event.

Although this is an individual competition, clubs gain points on each swimmer’s performance.

In addition to the racing, Alice Cullinane from WDSC, was awarded ‘The Young Aquatic Helper Award’, having spent eight months assisting poolside for the club and now working towards becoming a judge one.

It is Cullinane’s ambition to start a coaching course when she turns 16 next year and the club are extremely proud of her and appreciate her volunteering her time.
