Under-18 South West Counties League Dorchester TOWN 5 WEYMOUTH 1 BOURNEMOUTH Under-16 player Jack Saterley impressed on his Dorchester Town Under-18s debut as he scored twice to help sink rivals Weymouth.

Saterley hit a first-half brace as the Magpies raced into a 4-1 lead at the break, with Lewis Trevett and Adam Lloyd also on target.

Although Rob Condliffe levelled matters after Trevett’s opener, Dorchester had too much for the young Terras and wrapped up victory five minutes from time through Arran Kendrick.

Individual errors and ill-discipline littered Weymouth’s first half and the Magpies’ pressure started as early as the third minute when they hit a post from the first serious attack of the game.

That near-miss was soon put behind the home side as a speculative long ball was poorly dealt with by Ben Richmond, allowing Trevett to carry the ball 25 yards and finish well.

However, Weymouth responded just minutes later when a corner was cleverly converted at the near post by Condliffe.

That only briefly delayed Weymouth’s demise and Saterley got his first goal in Town colours from a cross-cum-shot that floated over Liam Roberts in the Weymouth goal.

A mistake by Roberts saw him allow Lloyd’s shot to creep in at the near post and another individual error allowed Saterley to rob Luke Winspur and fire home a 20-yard shot through a crowd of players to leave the Terras reeling at half-time.

Discussions at the break refocused the Terras and forward Matt Morley forced Sam Filkins into a good save before shooting just wide.

But Dorchester took the sting out of the game when Kendrick neatly finished at the far post.
