YOUNGSTERS showcased their skills as the Wey Valley Saturday Recreational Gymnastics Club returned to action.
There was a superb turnout for the first session of the new term, which lasts 11 weeks altogether, with children between the ages of five and 13 honing their gymnastic talent.
Participants got to grips with the balance beam, reached for the stars on the vault and worked together to develop their teamwork.
The club, organised by South Dorset sports coach and Conifers Primary School PE teacher Don Whistance, is currently in its 15th year and shows no sign of wilting on the evidence of this year’s interest.
Whistance said: “Children develop recreational gymnastics skills, fitness, body awareness, and self and group discipline, alongside a sense of achievement, social well-being and fun.”
