TORNADOES' head coach Ed Stevens saw his proteges amass 51 Western County qualifying times at the Dorset County Championships in Bourne-mouth.
The South Dorset club's 38 swimmers also recorded a total of 108 personal bests between them as Stevens, who is no stranger to the County Championships having won medals in the past, took charge of his first major event since taking over in mid-January.
Tornadoes' top performer at the Littledown Pool was Tom Mules who claimed six national qualifying times to go with his eight Western County qualifying times.
The 12-year-old also placed fourth in the 200m butterfly open-age group final.
Other competitors to collect Western County qualifying times were Connor Aitken with seven, Niall Laming and Jazmine Hepburn with six, Georgia Eiles-Clarke (5), Natasha Cain (4), Rebecca Beal (3), Gemma Taylor (3), Tom Crew (3), Jo Puckett (2) and Laura Newsam (2). Tom John, Lauren Podger, Paul Higgs and Hope Stanger all recorded one apiece.
Meanwhile, Emma Craft, Sophie Dawe, Crew, Aitken and Mules all achieved Age Group Championship Bests.
Stevens said: "I am extremely pleased with the results at this year's County Championships, throughout the whole weekend the swimmers demonstrated a superb attitude, supporting each other and showing that they can compete with the best. With 51 Western County qualifying times, the Tornadoes are getting back to their best."
