SIX youngsters have won through to the regional final of the HSBC Wee Wonders Championships after winning a local qualifier.
The junior tournament gives boys and girls aged five to 12 a way to progress from coaching competitions into competitive golf.
The local qualifier for the HSBC Wee Wonders took place at the Lodmoor Pitch & Putt with youngsters from Weymouth, Dorchester, Reading, Meon Valley, and Yeovil all taking part.
The winners in each category have qualified to take part in the regional final at Farrington Golf Club to try and win a place in the grand final, which will be held at St Andrew's on August 23 and 24.
Since 1995 the HSBC Wee Wonders Championships has gone from strength to strength.
There was thought to over 4,500 junior golfers taking part in the 100 local qualifying events.
