In 1984, whilst resident in Dennis Road, it was my custom to go across to Francis Fields (the ‘archery fields’ of yore) to fulfill my legal obligation under a law of Edward IV to practice archery.

Beware - gulls killed our precious fish

A terrible event happened in a quiet suburb of Dorchester at the weekend, shattering the peace as several residents were snatched from their homes of many years and violently murdered.

Whatever the technicalities, speeding through Chideock is dangerous

We all know that to drive at more than 30 mph through Chideock is dangerous and, dare I say it, illegal.

We were still breaking the speed limit - consider that

I was one of those drivers guilty of driving more than 30 miles an hours entering Chideock in October 2002. At that time we were only passing through Dorset and not living in Weymouth.
