This is a short list of open questions to Weymouth and Portland Borough Council.
At the present time you seem unable or unwilling to enforce the current legislation concerning, dogs being under control, dogs fouling footpaths, play areas, parks.
So, why on earth introduce a raft of new bylaws? Are you going to employ extra dog wardens? How is it to be paid for?
As a responsible dog owner I have never seen a dog warden in any of the popular walking areas which are littered with what the less responsible owners leave behind.
Come on, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, get your house in order.
If the enforcement of the laws that are already in place does not solve the problem then let’s have a sensible discussion about it.
