I’m writing with an update on the Portland Road/Wyke Road junction. We still have time to make a difference.
Although work has now started on the junction, this isn’t the work that was originally planned as part of the Weymouth Transport Package.
There is still time for residents to have their say. The council tells me that the roadworks in place now are a short-term fix to enable work to continue with the transport package as a whole.
Any new layout and improvement of the Portland Road/Wyke Road junction has been delayed – probably until next spring.
The council still needs to consult. Come along and have your say. Meet council officers and councillors at the Wyke Regis Pact meeting on Thursday at 7pm at Wyke Regis Working Men’s Club, Portland Road.
