Don't spend taxpayers' money on 'silly' sculpture

IF a sculpture on the relief road is going to be installed free to rate payers, why not?

On the other hand, huge rocks on sticks will look silly. It would look more natural if the rocks were left on the ground, randomly placed.

There is no mention of what it is going to cost, but please don’t put any of my rates towards it.

And who is going to look at them when we have such a wonderful view from the top of the Ridgeway – or will that be disappearing?

Heaven forbid we should spend tax pounds on things that promote a sense of civic pride, confidence and positivity.

Life would be very sad if everything had to be justified on a cost basis, millions of taxpayers’ money is spent on museums etc and old buildings that have no direct purpose, should we object to that as well.
