The A31 anti-skid surface outside the Charlborough Park Estate (Echo, January 27) should reduce risks of further injury.
While an initial response might be to blame drivers, one must bear in mind this is the main route from London. I agree with Mr Drax that we only have to ‘wait to see how long it takes after it rains for another crash’.
I write to urge a deeper solution of removing the hazard. Rather than rebuild as ‘10-15 cars go into the wall each year’, I would plead that the wall be demolished and replaced with a wire deer fence and traditional hedge.
This would be so much safer.
I would hate our MP to have avoidable deaths on his conscience when it would be so easy to take preventive action.

why do we all blame some one or something else for our own mistakes , i drive through there hundreds of times and have never crashed so why waste money , just stop the thick people driving
