Meeting prayers are appropriate

Re Prayers axed at council meetings.

We are a Christian country – the Queen rules as a Christian monarch. We pray for the lost at the Cenotaph.

Most of us bury our dead with a prayer and a few hymns.

So, a prayer before council meetings seem appropriate.

As for the mayor’s chaplain – I love the tradition of a chaplain and hope it is retained by the more thoughtful of our future Mayors.

Well done Tim!
