READ Peter Charles Former head gardener for Weymouth parks department and well-respected florist, passed away at home on 10th January 2022, aged 74 years surrounded by his sons, Mark, Adrian and Alan. Now reunited with his wife Marlene, he will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A celebration of Pete's life will take place at St Laurence Church, Upwey on Friday 21st January at 11am followed by interment in the churchyard. Donations can be made in his memory for either Pancreatic Cancer UK or Weldmar Hospicecare Trust c/o Rose Funeral Service, 23 Shrubbery Lane, Wyke Regis, DT4 9LY. We are so sorry to hear of Peter passing away , he was very helpful when we told what we wanted for a floral arrangement for a close family member earlier last year . RIP .

So sorry to hear the news of Pete’s passing. I worked with Marlene many years ago and always look out for Pete and Marks amazing entries at Dorchester Show. I’m glad Pete was able to pass on his amazing skills in the garden. He will sadly missed x
