CORNICK Andy Andy passed away peacefully in his sleep at Weldmar Hospice on Tuesday 3rd May aged 78 years. Loving father to Clint and Sophie, doting grandfather to Amber, Jessica and Chester and beloved partner to Jackie. His funeral will be held at Weymouth Crematorium on Friday 20th May 2022 at 4pm. No flowers please. Donations for Weldmar Hospice via Co-op Funeral Service.

So sorry to hear of Andy's passing. He was a lovely person, as well as an excellent craftsman, and someone who could properly be described as "the salt of the earth". I knew him for many years, as did my late parents (my mother was particularly fond of him, and he helped her in many ways), and he was always, approachable, friendly and extremely helpful and competent. I am sure he will be sadly missed, and I send my very best wishes to Sophie and Clint, as well as Jackie, who I never met. I remember him as always smiling and cheerful, and cannot recollect one moment of bad temper or grumpiness, which is quite an achievement particularly given the problems he was sometimes asked to resolve!
