PORTLAND PORT TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT

COACH AND MINI BUS HIRE

Portland Port Limited (PPL) announce their intention to award a term contract at Portland Port and hereby invites appropriately qualified coach and mini bus transport contractors to obtain tender documents and to submit tenders. Tenders are invited for the provision of the following: Coach and Mini Bus services for the Cruise Calls at Portland Port in 2013.
It is intended that the contract will be awarded by the end of December 2012 and the contract term will expire on 31st December 2013. Tenderers will be expected to demonstrate that they have the resources, qualifications, experience and competence to fulfil the requirements of the tender document. In particular, they will be expected to provide information on similar contracts successfully completed, and evidence of sound financial standing. The tender and contract will be governed by the Standard Terms and Conditions operated by PPL, including the requirement that works and services are carried out in accordance with the Quality Assurance system operated by PPL.
Suitably qualified contractors interested in tendering should download tender documents, which will be available from midday 6th December 2012, from the PPL website (www.portland-port.co.uk) and for further assistance should contact the PPL Operations Manager, Mr Will Pugh (telephone number 01305 824044). Prospective tenderers are invited to visit the port to acquaint themselves with the current situation and the context of the works and services proposed.
The closing date for the receipt of tenders will be midday 14th December 2012, or such extended date as may be posted on the website, and they should be submitted in the form and by the time stated in the Instructions to Tenderers forming part of the tender documents.
