The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011 (as amended) (Amendment No. 2, Order 2017), Various Roads, Weymouth and Portland - Disabled Parking Bays
Dorset County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
When the Order comes into operation on 28 April 2017 the effect of the Order will be to introduce disabled bays in:
- Dundee Road, Weymouth
- Southview Road, Weymouth
Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
A copy of the Order together with a plans showing the lengths of roads affected may
be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-
Main Reception, Dorset County Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, and
West Dorset District Council, South Walks House, South Walks Road, Dorchester and
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, Commercial Road, Weymouth.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose. Dorset County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a disabled parking bay at Avalanche Road, Portland.
Exemptions will permit waiting for picking up or setting down passengers, post office vehicles delivering and collecting mail, emergency service vehicles and vehicles in connection with any building or demolition operation, the maintenance of the road, the supply of gas, water or electricity and works to any telegraphic line. Full details of this proposal are contained in the Draft Order, which together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the County Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-

The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014, (Amendment Order No. ,201') Williams Avenue, Dorchester-Restriction of Waiting
Dorset County Council proposes to make an Amendment Order to 'The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders Made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014' under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no loading or unloading between the hours of 8.00am to 10.00am and 4.00pm to 6.00pm on Williams Avenue, Dorchester. Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
