Temporary Closure of Public Footpath 24, 25 & 26 Chickerell

Dorset County Council Temporary Closure of Public Footpath 24, 25 & 26 Chickerell
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath 24, 25 & 26 Chickerell, from grid reference SY 6518 8045 to grid reference SY 6529 8006, a distance of approximately 435 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 7 February 2018 for a period of 26 weeks, 7 August 2018. But it may be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This closure is required to allow CG Fry to construct a housing development.
For the period of this footpath closure alternative routes will be available from the southern end of the closure, walk west for 200m to the corner of Putton Lane (Point C = SY 6510 8002), then walk north for 390m to the junction with Glennie Way (D = SY 6490 8030), continue north for 100m to the footpath (E = SY 6488 8041) and cross the fields heading north easterly for 140m to Lower Putton Lane (F = SY 6497 8053), then turn right and head east for 110m to the footpath (G = SY 6508 8052) and walk south for 145m to the northern end of the closure (A = SY 6518 8045). Temporary Closure of Nothe Parade,Weymouth

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along NOTHE PARADE, WEYMOUTH from the Slipway on Nothe Parade to approximately outside of the Weymouth Sailing Club, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 5th February 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4th March 2018. This order will enable Wessex Water to allow safe access to replace the water main. On this occasion no vehicular diversion route will be available, however access can be arranged with Wessex Water if safe to do so. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
