Temporary Closure of A338, Spur Road, Christchurch DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL

Temporary Closure of A338, Spur Road, Christchurch DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL in partnership with Bournemouth Borough Counci has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along A338, SPUR ROAD, ASHLEY HEATH from the A31, Ashley Heath Roundabout to the junction with Cooper Dean, (both carriageways), a distance of approximately 10,500 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 23 February 2019 at 20:00hrs, and remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by the 11 March 2019 at 06:00hrs. The closure will be in place between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs each night. The order will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary. This order will enable Dorset County Council safe access to remove temporary barriers, undertake surfacing and install new traffic management. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

Temporary Closure of Mudeford Lane, Christchurch
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Mudeford Lane, Christchurch from the junction with Somerford Road, to the junction with De Havilland Way, a distance of approximately 950 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 28 February 2019 at 08:00hrs, and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 8 March 2019 at 16:00hrs.
The closure will be in place between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs. The road will be open outside of these times and also over the weekend.
This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
