Proposed Development at Jordans Mine, Easton Lane, Reforne, Easton, Portland, Dorset, DT5 1BW. Albion Stone PLC is applying for planning permission for
Jordans Mine, Easton Lane, Reforne, Easton, Portland, Dorset, DT5 1BW. Albion Stone PLC
1) Continuation of ancillary mining operations, including; operations that support further mining in adjacent underground areas and the maintenance of active support systems within all areas that have not been backfilled; and
2) change of use of completed areas of underground mine workings to use for storage of Documents, Files, Wine, Artefacts, or any other non-hazardous articles and stable materials that require long term storage; and
3) operational development to improve vehicular access to the site, construct a parking area, staff facilities, and external transfer facilities for the receipt and dispatch of materials prior to and post storage; and
4) closure options of the mine workings in the event of cessation of the proposed storage use and clearance and restoration of the surface area of the site to a state suitable for calcareous grassland and nature conservation.
