The host of an upcoming jobs fair is looking forward to a busy day of networking.

Back by popular demand, the Dorset Echo Jobs Fair will be coming to Weymouth next month.

Each year hundreds of jobseekers attend to talk to businesses and organisations from across the career spectrum in efforts to learn more about what skills they would need in a particular job.

Jobseekers will also be able to get help in creating a winning CV and hear advice about taking their first steps on to the career ladder.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 4 from 10am to 3pm at Weymouth College in Cranford Avenue.

Julia Cohen, head of external partnerships at Weymouth College and The Dorset Training Academy is looking forward to the up-coming jobs fair.

She said: "Weymouth College are delighted to host this year’s Dorset Echo Jobs fair and we are looking forward to a busy event. The Dorset Training Academy at Weymouth College continues to establish strong relationships with employers across Dorset and together we are committed to the development of skills and associated economic growth for our area.

"The Weymouth College apprenticeship team will be available on the day for advice and guidance and will have full information on a range of current job vacancies for all age groups.”

The fair was designed to bring employers and job seekers together and serves as a networking hub - and this year it is hoped it will be even bigger and better than before.

Currently businesses attending range from retail, care, education and dining providers.

Confirmed business include Nurse Plus, Weymouth College, Mcdonalds, Encompass, St Jude's Care, BCHA, Agincare and Apex Care.

And it’s not too late for businesses looking to expand their teams to snap up a stall.

To book your stall or for more information about the fair call the Dorset Echo team on 01305 830844.
